Bio
Experienced Product design Leader with a background in Interactive Design(MA) and Computer Science(BS). Currently based in the Bay Area and loving every single day with my family. My portfolio of work span across Music & Media, Voice UX, Platform Architecture and Physical interaction design. After spending 6 years at Google, I joined Facebook NPE in 2019 to build 0-to-1 products.
Really grateful
As a UX designer, I have been very fortunate to work on multiple products that were first in their generation and spanned across different industries like Media(YouTube Premium) and Hardware Innovation(Google Glass).
I have also been very lucky to work under great industry pioneers like Michael Gough(Now VP of Design at Uber) on first Adobe physical product Adobe Line and Ivy Ross(VP of Design at Google) on first Google headphones, Pixel Buds.
Process & Leadership
Crafting Vision, facilitating creative workshops and getting organizational alignment is where I spent my time most days.
I manage a product team mix of Motion, Visual and Interaction Designers where I take various approach to guide them with structured project plan and 1:1 feedbacks while also keeping a collaborative environment where they feel safe to share their work for growth and learning.
College & Past life
I had the opportunity to pursue my passion for design at Savannah College of Arts and Design where I graduated with a Masters in Interactive Media & Game Design and was awarded the highest academic award ‘Excelsus Laureate’.
Time before Google, I worked at SCAD.edu, Adobe, agency ‘Vectorform’ for clients like Vans, Ford, Microsoft. And freelanc'd on multiple international projects.
Before making US as my final stop, I was enjoying my entrepreneurial nature and disrupting the IT industry in Pakistan at a startup called PiLabs which has now transformed into remoteinterview.io based in silicon valley.
