 YouTube Red(now Premium) was the very first effort by YouTube into a subscription model from Ad-Supported model. The goal was to amplify user experience by providing core new functionalities. Users can background play while using other apps, they can watch ad-free videos and they can even save videos to watch offline when they are not connected.

Cross-product Integration

Worked with sister UX and Eng team to integrate core product features i.e Offline. Made sure all edge cases, subscription statuses, marketing landing and purchase flow are seamless integrated and updated as per design.

Save Offline

One of the core feature I led and designed ux for was Offline. Considering its such a simple feature but because of the size of Youtube, each feature goes through rigourous testing and data analysis before its launched to public.

Handling error cases

Due to international licenses, content availability per region, variable internet connection and platform types - we had to design for all possible edge cases.
